The end of the school year is always so busy.  Class parties, award ceremonies, sports coming to an end.  I can't believe the school year is already over.  It seems like yesterday we were walking Reese into her kindergarten class.  This year has been filled with so many blessings.    I am so thankful for a group of amazing teachers.  Each one of my girls have grown so much this year.  So many wonderful people have been placed in their lives, molding them into the young women God desires them to be.  I pray over them that they will see themselves through the eyes of God and know that they are loved.  It blesses my heart each night to hear them pray for their brother, wherever and whoever he may be.  Precious boy...you are loved, you are special, you are prayed for.  We long for the day to be with you but know that it is all in God's timing.  We are thankful for each day knowing that in God's perfect timing we will start our journey together.

We have been waiting for our referral since September.  Hopefully we will be matched with our  son by this September.  Once we are matched then it will be several more months until we can bring him home.  So for now we wait, and we pray for him, and we know that one day we will pray over him with our arms AROUND him.

It has taken me forever but I think I have this page set up finally...
Last night we went to the 2nd annual Ghana Rock concert.  It's hard to believe it's been a year since this journey began.  So moved by Madi and all the kids who heard God's call and went into action.  God is good all the time.
I am so thankful that there are people out there who respond when they hear God's calling.  Madi is one of those people.  I'm reading "Kisses from Katie" right now.  Katie Davis is so faithful.  We had the privilege to meet the founders of "Feeding the Orphans" last night.  Another amazing story of a young girl who heard God calling and said yes.  I pray that I will "hear" him call and have the courage to say YES.

Homestudy

This is the beginning phase of our adoption journey.  We had our 2nd meeting tonight with our social worker, J.  She "interviewed" us about our families growing up.  It was sort of emotional talking about growing up and what our parents were like.  What our "fondest memories" were.  It made me appreciate and miss my childhood.  I am truly blessed by my mom and dad!  Thank You both.
